ATO SMSF QUARTERLY STATISTICAL REPORT JUNE 2021

The ATO’s self-managed super fund quarterly statistical report – June 2021 is now available.

This report provides the latest statistics on the self-managed super fund (SMSF) sector. It also provides an update of the annual SMSF population analysis tables for 2015-16 to 2019-20, based on SMSF annual return data. 

Highlights include:

• There are 597,900 SMSFs.

• There are 1,114,529 members of SMSFs.

• The total estimated assets of SMSFs are just over $822 billion.
